Currently, power semiconductor converters are used in all types of industrial production and transport to control mechanisms, assemblies and complexes, and their design, creation and operation require a high level of competence in the field of power electronics. The lecture part of the course is devoted to the principles of construction, features of operation and parameters of power voltage converters (AC to DC, DC to DC, DC to AC, frequency converters), as well as methods for calculating their parameters and circuit diagrams based on power semiconductor devices. During laboratory work, students examine voltage converters on specialized stands from Lucas-Nülle GmbH and in the NI MultiSim simulation environment. Theoretical knowledge is used by students to process, analyze and present the results of laboratory research.
