This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the analysis of complex systems using different approaches and methods. Specific attention in this course is put but is not limited, to the application of simulation modelling for complex system analysis and model-based decision making. In addition, simulation modelling is considered the core of the digital twin technology, widely utilised in different domains by industrial units. The course consists of theoretical classes which aim to enrich students with fundamental knowledge from system analysis and modelling theory and practical classes which are targeted at developing practical skills and competencies by utilising modern simulation software - AnyLogic. The overall study aim is to enrich students with fundamental knowledge, practical skills and core competencies in the utilisation of modern approaches, methods and tools for comprehensive system analysis.
